This game is not designed to run on your device. Add it to a collection to play later, or you can try to run it anyway.

The purpose of this project was to make a small educational game about the 1904 Olympic marathon while learning about Bitsy and its abilities. I got my information from Runner's World and the Smithsonian Magazine. My hope was to express the absurdity of the marathon's planning, using lighthearted music and dialogue to set the tone. I made only brief mention of that Olympics' incredibly racist events, but I suggest reading the articles above if you have any interest in learning more about that aspect of the marathon.

This project uses a single variable for the room, which changes the characters' dialogue using conditional text, causing the characters to say the correct lines only on their appropriate screens.

I did the art, programming and writing, Henry Estes made the music, and I used a Bitsy hack by David Mowatt, which can be found here.
